KAHPERD award nominees should send final paperwork electronically to Brenda Bowman at bbowman@usd259.net by August 1, 2013. Information received after the deadline will not be counted for this year's awards. Any teacher of the year candidate must be sure to fill out the appropriate paperwork from the affiliated national organization.
KAHPERD Awards and Recognition
Each year KAHPERD honors individuals for meritorious service in the field of health, physical education, recreation, and dance. Your assistance is needed in identifying an individual who deserves (and qualifies for) such recognition.

To nominate an individual for an award:
1. Make sure the nominee meets all the requirements for the award for which he/she is being nominated (see awards criteria).
2. Notify the person of his/her nomination and confirm their interest in pursuing the nomination process.
3. Complete the KAHPERD Awards Nomination Form by May 1, 2013 (for Undergraduate Student or Graduate Major Awards, complete this form).
4. After the person has been nominated, assist the nominee in completing and submitting the additional paperwork. For the following awards, specific application forms must be completed:

Submit all final applications and supporting materials electronically to the Awards Committee Chair, Brenda Bowman (bbowman@usd259.net) by August 1, 2013(with the exception of Joint Projects Awards and Student Major Awards, which are due by September 1, 2013.
