KAHPERD Hoops for Heart
Hoops For Heart is a great way to bring students together for a good cause — physical activity and community service. Students will be proud to know that they’re helping to save lives in their own community.
Hoops For Heart…
- Gives kids the opportunity to work on basketball skills and play exciting skills games such as Hot-Shot Blitz, Top Gun and Quick Hands.
- Funds critical research and educational programs that fight heart disease and stroke, our nation’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers.
- Involves the entire school in a lot of fun!
Regular physical activity in childhood and adolescence improves strength and endurance, reduces anxiety and stress, helps control weight, builds healthy bones and muscles, and increases self-esteem. Young people can build healthy bodies and establish healthy lifestyles well into adulthood by including physical activity in their daily lives. The Hoops For Heart event can help you establish this important lifelong habit!
